BERGEN COUNTY AND NJAFM IS PLEASED TO HOST:
FEMA 936 : FLOODPROOFING EXISTING NON-RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES
1 BERGEN COUNTY PLAZA, 4TH FLOOR LEARNING CENTER
8AM TO 5PM
The course is FEMA approved and is a great opportunity for those working in the floodproofing of non-residential structures to really understand what is approved by FEMA and what is not; what works, what doesn’t. Learn the best techniques to floodproof existing structures. This course is designed to help the non-residential owners, such as factories, warehouses , hospitals and apartment buildings, etc., to better prevent damage such as that caused by storm surges such as we experienced from Superstorm Sandy.
The course will be taught by FEMA certified instructors. The course will be certified by NJAFM for CFM credits. Application to the NYPE Board for PE credits is being made also.
Upon registration, Bergen County will provide an electronic copy of the Student Manual. It will be sent to your email address and you can print it or bring the electronic copy on your laptop. FEMA will provide the 936 Document. We anticipate providing lunch service at about $10.00 per person; we will advise on this when we send the Student Manual.
